Burn in hell, please.

As you leave, without a soul by your side,
I hope you finally saw the dark side of your deeds.
The curses that turned to flame will continue forever down under,
To make sure you never again make a young heart scream.

Good riddance to the walking devil I've known all my life.

Ten years. A lifetime.

24 July 2011- 02 April 2021

My confidante with no judgement.

The most reliable one in my life.

Never failing to make me smile.

Thank you for the person you helped me become.

Un-Obit

A smile, a tear
A warm embrace.
Promise of a potential
Then it breaks.

A new world
A rosy future.
Snatched away in a heartbeat
Here's your empty picture.

Tere mere beech...

Ek dhaage ka farq hai iss rishtey mei
Baaki sab to bas taqdir hai...

Dayra dikhta nahi humare beech mei
Baaki sab nazro ka fer hai...

While we wait...

While we wait for the doors to open
For the sky to be grey
And the air to be dense again

Why don't you and I make a pact tonight
For our hearts to remain free
And our eyes to not have any judgement

Why don't you and I remember these days
For dawns to come and dusks to settle
And etch these moments that we'll never have again

Why don't you forget what rose your blood
For in the long run, what matters is who made it
And those that did, earned their place in cement

Why don't you remember to keep your distance
For it's needed to keep you safe
And when you know you can't, never look back again.

Aaj ya Kal...Whatever will be, will be.

Doob jayenge tere pyaar mei
Aaj ye aalam hai
You would never look back
I'll drown and it'll rain

Lootega tu mere aitbaar ko
Phir kahenge haath khali hai
I know how this goes
Though it's never planned

Roz roz tera charcha hoga
Mere khwabon mei shor machega
Would you still sing for me
Even if just faint?

Kabhi aaoge ghar to batayenge tumhe
Jannat ki khamoshi kaisi hai
Carry my bag and your heart full of baggage
The gear won't move on its own.

Kya pata aisa ho ki koi awaaz na aaye
Na dil tute, no koi dur jaye
Against all odds, I'd put my bet on this
Because heart says what the heart says.

Even now...

Things so overwhelming that I don’t know what to do with them:

Cuteness of a puppy
Others' heartache
Smell of a beautiful perfume
Toxic behavior of loved ones
Cursive handwriting
Oversleeping
Feeling after meditation
Long distance longings
Piercing lyrics
Misunderstandings
Surprise visits
Sudden numbness of a limb
Spring breeze
Flashbacks
Fluffy pillows
Shoe bites
His T-shirts
Paper cuts
Forever warm hugs
Traffic jams en-route to airports
Rain on my birthday
Throat tears
Holding hands
Remembering an old lost friend
Genuine smiles
Palpitations
Black Coffee
Heart breaking ending of a book
Serendipity.

October '18

Here's a bookmark on this week.  To remember. To remember how it feels when a tornado hits a volcano in a vacuum.

My darkest thoughts fail to compare to what has happened.

While I count minutes on one hand, there's a lifetime slipping by from the other.

July 2, 2018

Hey You!

If there's one thing I could tell this thirteen year old you, it would be- trust your intuitions.

Trust yourself when you get behind the wheel for the first time. You don't know it yet, but this, right here, is your first love. Stay true.

Don't leave cycling. Your body needs it more than you know now. Don't give up.

You're blessed to have a horizon with so much music. Find yours. When you hold that guitar. Don't let go. No matter how much your fingers hurt. Don't be lazy.

I know you love your family and nothing will change that. Remember that your parents are doing what they can from the best they know how. Don't judge your brother. He is his own person. Fight, if you want. But don't forget to make up. Because in the end, you will both need each other. The ones you lose, will be the ones who had to go. Let them go.

At thirteen, don't give in to peer pressure. It's not necessary to be the bad girl to have a good time. Stay simple, and never compromise.

Nobody would prepare you for what's to come. For what to expect. For what to do in life. How to plan for the life ahead. You'll be going in blindfolded, taking things as they come. You won't understand the beatings, the scoldings - and you'd react. Tell them to help you understand. You deserve to know what's right, what's wrong before being reprimanded.

You won't excel in everything. It's okay. But give your best. Please, give your best. And seek help when you need it. Please, ask for help.

That boy you see from the window - will mean nothing. The other one on whom you'd lose a friend - will mean nothing. The ones you'd look upto - well, run in the other direction. Fast. They'll destroy you. Give up.

You did and you would find unwanted hands on your body. And you'd not know what to do. I'm telling you now - Scream. Shout. Bring the world to your door. Every damn time. Don't be afraid. Because it won't stop until you make it stop.

Keep what you write. Don't burn every paper you ever poured your heart out on. Soon you'd give up anything to remember your childhood, and these diaries would be the bridge to that. I know it hurts. But erasing this doesn't omit what happened. Keep it close.

Dance. It will become your second love. You'd never know anything more cathartic than this. Every time you move your legs - thank your stars. Be grateful that you can.

Don't hold on to things. Don't hold on to people. Don't compromise on what you want to be. If you don't see respect in the offering, move away. Don't stay with abuse. Don't stay with misuse. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your heartbeat. It's not okay. It's not okay.

You are and will always be a tough person to please. Keep that. Helps filter out the nonsense.

If you think it's ever time to let your wall down, make sure it's worth it. Make sure he is worth every smile you give him. If you don't feel it, stop it. There's nothing wrong with that.

Travel. Travel small and travel big. Go places, whenever you can. You don't need others. You have you.

There are no regrets to how you will live your life for the next couple of decades. I am a living proof of that. Everything then made me what I am today.

What are you today?

You are 34. You are loved. Your man loves you unconditionally. You and your brother drifted away because both of you let another have a say in it. Your parents are getting old, and you're there for them. You are at war with your nightmares. You don't run from them.

But try and avoid the pain, the heartache, and the destruction you have had to see across this time.

Life is short. Live it.

June

Your aura is made of dark stars
Your body is made of paper thin clouds
Your heart beats a thousand miles away
You walk with a limp that only you can see
You kill a part of yourself every time you sleep

And yet, you rule your world.
And, you rule mine.

Color

Can your eyes get any brighter!
And my heart any lighter!

How marvellous life is with you around!
Isn’t it wonderful that you love color!

Your hand fits in mine like a glove!
There’s no denying that our souls are in sync like a clock!

I shine like a star with you around!
Isn’t it wonderful that you love color!

Stop all the clocks
Take off the gloves
Open your eyes
And wake from your dreams

You are colourblind. You know no color.
It is black and white, not even grey.

It tears my heart and it crushed your soul
But ain’t no one perfect, this much you know.

Ten plus 2

Here's to the light you've been bringing to my life for the last twelve years...

What's in a name?

Why do you flinch when they say your name?
Why is it unfamiliar?
Why does it punch you in the gut?
Why do you spew hate?

Why do you crave for them to call your name?
Why do you want it to belong to their tongue?
Why does it sound new and yet so familiar?
Why does it feel like your heart's wrapped by their cotton hands?

When will they mean it?
When will they mend you?
When will your name have meaning?
When will your name be safe?

It's ironic how time and time again music finds it's way back.
Every time, it feels the same - butterflies and dragons.

New notebook; Old pen

We never change
We change our clothes
We cut our hair
We may even shift cities or countries
But, we never change.

Too much now...

Darkness with the promise of light
And that's how it has been
There's sunshine behind these clouds
There might just be a river beyond these dunes
How about a spell of rain and thunderstorm
But yeah, I know it's too much now.

My demon is counting strikes
While the angel looks away
No matter this mangled mess
I'd rather you look away
When I burn to ash
Because I know it's too much now.

No, I don't dream anymore
You'd know when your heart sinks
Down into a bottomless pit
Its lack or excess
Control plays with your mind
Believe me, it's too much now.

I don't want another
No proof of before
What was, was enough
To know your core
I just want to sleep
It's too much now.

It's cold and my hands are empty
You warm another set of gloves
My eyes search for the fire
As I lay on the pyre
Go ahead world, move on
For me, it's too much now.

The noose tight around my neck
And the look on your face
Jagged little lines on the skin
Turn into knots in your stomach
Oh well, this book is over
It's too much now.
